Omandada teadmised hüdromehaanika põhivõrranditest ja nende matemaatiliselt lihtsatest lahendustest. Arendada ülesannete lahendamise oskusi tasakaalulise ja voolava vedeliku ülesannete lahendamiseks merenduses ja laevanduses.

Gain knowledge on the basic laws of hydromechanics and on its mathematically simple solutions. Develop skills in solving the problems of stationary and flowing fluid in maritime and shipping.

MOODUL 1 - hüdrostaatika
• Oskab määrata rõhku ja selle muutust vees tasakaalulises olukorras.
• Oskab määrata rõhku ja selle muutust vees suhtelise tasakaalu olukorras.
• Oskab määrata rõhujõudu uputatud pinnale ja kehale.
• Oskab määrata keha ujuvust ja püstuvust.

MOODUL 2 - hüdrodünaamika
• Oskab määrata vooluvõrgu ideaalvedeliku voolamise jaoks ümber keha.
• Oskab arvutada pidevust piirdega määratud voolamisele.
• Oskab arvutada voolamist muutuva rõhu all läbi ava.
• Oskab määrata mehaanilise energia muutust piirdega määratud voolamisele.
• Oskab arvutada hõõrdejõudu piirdel ühtlase voolamise jaoks.
• Oskab kasutada takistustegureid hõõrde- ja kohtsurvekadude määramiseks hüdraulilises süsteemis.
• Oskab arvutada takistusjõudu vedelikus liikuvale kehale.

MODULE 1 – hydrostatics
• Able to determine the pressure and its changes in water for stationary situation.
• Able to determine the pressure and its changes in water with rigid body motion.
• Able to determine the pressure force on submerged surfaces and body.
• Able to determine the buoyancy and stability of body.

MODULE 2 - hydrodynamics
• Able to determine the flow network for ideal flow around the body.
• Able to determine the continuity for boundary determined flow.
• Able to determine the flow under changing pressure through an orifice.
• Able to determine the mechanical energy changes for boundary determined flow.
• Able to determine the frictional force at the boundary of uniform flow.
• Able to setermine the resistance coefficients for determining the major and minor losses in hydraulic system.
• Able to determine the drag force of a moving body in water.

Õppeaine selgitab voolukiiruse ja rõhu lihtsamaid seoseid kasutades Bernoulli võrrandit ja pidevuse võrrandit. Õppeaine koosneb kahest moodulist:
MOODUL 1 – hüdrostaatika;
MOODUL 2 – hüdrodünaamika.
Õppeaines tutvustakse samuti vedelike füüsikalisi omadusi, hüdromehaanika põhiühikuid ja põhimõisteid (rõhk ja voolukiirus). Õppeainele on koostatud matemaatiline abimaterjal.
brief description of the course in English
Subject explains a variety of relationships between flow velocity and pressure by using the Bernoulli equation and the continuity equation. The course consists of two modules:
MODULE 1: Hydrostatics
MODULE 2: Hydrodynamics
Subject explains also the physical properties of fluid, basic units and definitions (pressure and flow velocity). Subject includes a mathematical tutorial.

Eksami eelduseks on kontrolltööde positiivne sooritus. Eksam on kirjalik ja koosneb kahest osast: 1) teoreetilised küsimused ja 2) ülesanne.

Prerequisite of the examination is passed control of work. The exam is written and consists of two parts: 1) theoretical questions and 2) assignment.
