VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Anda ülevaade elusa looduse toimimisest, keskkonnakaitsest ja statistilisest füüsikast lihtsastimõistetavas vormis ning õpetada rakendama füüsikateadmisi igapäevaolukordades, sh keskkonnateadlike lahenduste leidmiseks. Kursuses keskendutakse teooriate sisulisele küljele. Õpitava materjali sügavamaks omandamiseks viiakse loengutes läbi demonstratsioonkatseid.
course aims in English
To give a systematic overview of the fundamentals of natural sciences in an easily understandable form, to develop skills of using the teachings of natural sciences in everyday life, including for finding environmentally friendly solutions. Theoretical material is illustrated by appropriate experimental demonstrations.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
1. Üliõpilane saab aru elusa looduse toimimise põhilistest seadustest, teaduslikest mudelitest ja nende rakendatavuse piiridest.
2. Üliõpilane oskab seostada termodünaamika seadusi säästva arengu ja keskkonnakaitsega.
3. Üliõpilane oskab kasutada termodünaamika ja statistiise füüsika seadusi ja meetodeid erialases tegevuses, iseseisva töö korral kirjandusega ning kirjanduse abil mõista termodünaamika rolli meid ümbritseva elukeskkonna nähtustes.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
1. Student understands the basic laws of nature, scientific models, and the applicability limits of these.
2. Student is able to make connections between the laws of thermodynamics and the problems of sustainable development and environmental protection.
3. Student is able to use the laws and methods of thermodynamics and statistical physics in his/her professional work, and while working with literature, and understands the role of thermodynamics in the natural and technological phenomena around us.
