Study programme aims and objectives
To provide students with broad-based business competencies which are acquired through an efficient and effective teaching and learning process,
correspond to the bachelor’s level, and meet the needs of employers and society and enable graduates to specialise in managing core processes in domestic and international enterprises, or enhance careers as entrepreneurs.
- To create a holistic vision of core business functions in general, and of an enterprise as a goal-oriented dynamic system that operates in a complex environment.
- To provide future business leaders and specialists with systematic foundational knowledge and skills to enable them to combine a wide foundation of acquired competencies with further specialisations in their careers or master’s studies.
- To support long-term perspective future oriented analytical thinking to encourage business decisions that enable graduates to adapt to the environment and adhere to the principles of environmental protection, social responsibility and humanistic worldview.

Learning outcomes of the study programme
Upon successful completion of the curriculum, the graduate:

- synthesizes wide-ranging knowledge and skills to overcome challenges in international organizations;
- critically evaluates main concepts of business administration and relevant social and legal aspects, generally accepted foundational theories and models; appraises operating environments, development trends in economy and society and best practices in industries;
- designs and evaluates business models and plans and evaluates strategic, tactical and functional decisions considering sustainability of the organization, people and environment, and adheres to the principles of corporate social responsibility and ethics;
- purposefully synthesizes the acquired knowledge and skills to identify, solve or alleviate problems in the fields of management, marketing, supply chain, accounting and finance based on evidence and considering cross-functional dependencies; identifies and appraises alternative scenarios and plans work-related activities systematically and efficiently;
- expresses ideas fluently and efficiently in professional communication and applies modern information and communication technologies;

Graduation requirements
Completion of the curriculum in the required amount, and the successful defence of the graduation paper in conformity with the requirements set by the TalTech Senate.
In order to obtain Cum Laude diploma the graduation paper must be defended for the grade "5" and the weighted average grade must be at least 4,60, where all grades from diploma supplement are taken into account.

      - is able to perceive relationships and interdependence between business functions, their impact on total costs of enterprise, its efficiency and competitive position, and defines, analyses and improves practical problems and challenges of not overly sophisticated nature;
      - is able to evaluate positive and negative aspects and risks of being an entrepreneur; knows which personality traits are essential for an entrepreneur;
      - is able to evaluate his/her own fitness for becoming an entrepreneur;

    Learning outcomes
    The student:
    - demonstrates broad fundamental knowledge and skills across five pillars of the programme - marketing,

    logistics, entrepreneurship and management, accounting and business intelligence, and finance - from operative level to broadly outlined strategic level;
    - knows the basic terminology, theories and concepts of the above named areas and general conventional methods of analysis, and is able to set area-related aims and develop the processes in focus;
    - is able to perceive relationships and interdependence between business functions, their impact on total costs of enterprise, its efficiency and competitive position, and defines, analyses and improves practical problems and challenges of not overly sophisticated nature;
    - is able to evaluate positive and negative aspects and risks of being an entrepreneur; knows which personality traits are essential for an entrepreneur and is able to evaluate his/her own fitness for becoming an entrepreneur;
    - can think creatively, demonstrate initiative, evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, analyse impact of a business environment on the idea realisation potential and draw up a business model; take important decisions related to establishment of an enterprise and plan business growth and development;
    - is able to analyse different situations and issues of dispute in the area of business law, and is able to envisage legal interpretations and potential consequences of related business decisions;
    - has knowledge about the essence of international business and basic principles of internationalisation;
    - knows the theoretical bases of business ethics and is able to analyse business ethics dilemmas based on the principle of corporate social responsibility.
